This article was birthed December 16, 2008 the day after the Electoral College cast their votes making Barack Obama the 44 th President of the United States. I felt compelled and duty bound to say these things to anyone who has ears to hear. I have no doubt not many will listen but I also know that as each year passes I will gain hearers exponentially.
My first prediction is that those who have questioned his eligibility as a natural born citizen will not stop trying to uncover the truth at any time during his presidency. My second forecast is that a growing number of people who once supported Barack Obama will join that investigation in time. When the honeymoon period is over the truth may then come out, that will be one of the most confusing days America will ever be asked to face.
For the first part of 2009 it will be like a circle of happy children dancing around the Maypole with everyone in blithe anticipation for the next move Obama makes. In 2010 the tables will shift and by the end of his first term he will lose over half of his original support.
I can safely say not as a prediction but as a prophetic surety that his administration will not end without the greatest economic downturn in our history as a nation. In the end it will make the stock market crash of 1929 look like a boom time.
Trusted financial institutions will fold like a house of cards and the Fed will be helpless to save them. Consumer goods will start to disappear and gasoline will be the least of our problems. These things will begin in late 2009 and will take a few years to unfold entirely.
Those who hold a Jeffersonian or Deistic view of God along with agnostics and atheists will always doubt that God exists or if he does that he bothers to intervene in the affairs of men. Here is Americas biggest mistake. God not only does guide every detail of history but he does not need a mighty nation to bring down a reprobate people. They are sufficiently busy bringing themselves down.
Why would God diminish the economy? The answer is almost too easy. Firstly it is because our securities are what we all hold dear. The economy is always the talk of the nation and morality, abortion, the gay agenda and all else are made to take a back seat to the revered matter of Americas fiscal well being. When all the warnings have been ignored; judgment strikes at the very heart of a nation. Sadly most Americans today are convinced that the economy is the heart of the nation. I can safely say it is not nor has it ever been.
Secondly it might serve well to grab a calculator and sit down for some quick math. The reason most often heard for an abortion in this nation is so the child will not be brought into a situation where the support may not exist. President Elect Obama is basing his promise to make abortion available to anyone at any time during their pregnancy as a first act in office on this flawed notion. If he does a double term of eight years another twelve million babies will be aborted during his administration.
Add to the twelve million the fifty million already aborted at the rate of 4,000 per day since 1973 and you have a grand total of 62,000,000 human lives snuffed out to save a buck for moms who dont think they can find the dough. Now lets get out the calculators. The average cost of raising a child for a single parent in the U.S. from birth to four years in a public college is $190,000. Multiply that times sixty two million and the amount totals over twelve trillion dollars.
We talk about the national debt but no one thinks we are indebted to God. In fact we are. Economic collapse; yes about twelve trillion dollars worth. That is exactly what I predict the interest notwithstanding.
Wishy washy Christianity will also rack up a few deficits. This church that finds nothing more to preach about than earthly prosperity is a ragged bunch of spiritually starving positive thinkers who have become the greatest negative example of discipleship in American history. Jesus is about to spit the lukewarm water out of his mouth. Rev 3:16
Christian ministries will not only suffer from their own apostasy but major house bills and social trends will squeeze the true church to the point of open persecution. Conservative Christian organizations like ADF one of Americas top defenders of our rights and the rights of Christians and Churches started a 2009 budget projection at $8,000,000, compare that to the ACLUs $220,000,000 projection and youll get the picture.
You will see dozens of multilateral decisions made by this administration that will erode the sovereignty of the United States. The solid base of support for Israel will also begin to suffer.
Not once in my entire life have I ever so much as even guessed at whom in our world could be the Antichrist or the False Prophet described by the prophets of old and the book of Revelation. During the meteoric rise of Barack Obama I first began to think he may be the False Prophet who aids the rise of the EU ruler we will all come to know as the Antichrist. I am still watching that and I am not ashamed to say that it looks like more of a possibility with each passing day.
It should be noted that regardless of exactly who the Antichrist or the False Prophet turns out to be the stage must be set first. Only the blind could not see that the stage is already set. Secular liberalism is a worldwide phenomenon that has reared its head with this age being inundated with demonic forces (Rev 16:13) most of them will be readily received by the leaders in the last days.
With abortion, euthanasia and the gay agenda leading the way the judgments will come long before those waiting with bated breath can see the first man wander outside of our own solar system in a man made craft.
Those leading the world in the last days are all believers. No; not believers in the gospel but believers in their own secular agenda. The blank committed stares and almost childlike impassioned rhetoric seen in Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden are prime examples of believers. They are always convinced that what they are doing is right, they are always wrong. They become extremely dangerous when a majority of people start to believe them.
If that is so then it is only the bad news before the good news. I am sure that near the end of my life or shortly thereafter every promise of the second coming of Christ will be fulfilled and he will be standing in person in the city of Jerusalem only moments after the end of the battle of Armageddon. Every army in the world will be gathered in the plains of Esdraelon approximately 55 miles north of Jerusalem and will meet their doom in that valley.
My life is nearly over and while it may last just a little longer than you can hold your breath you may not want to start a 30 year retirement fund.
There is nothing new here for me I have been forecasting these things for over three decades the only difference now is that they are unfolding right before my eyes.
Many people think they should grab their things a huge supply of food and head for the mountains. They are merely looking for a door or a way out of it all. Is there a door and what is the way out?
I will let two passages spoken by Jesus Christ answer that question and my best advice is that you take them very seriously.
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (Jn 10:9)
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. (Mk 8:35)
Regardless of the details of prophetic events Christ is still the door by which you can change your eternal destiny and direction. This proclamation has seen its peak of public acceptance and is now waning in general acceptance but it is meant for only one individual at a time. It is my prayer at the beginning of 2009 that the person who heeds this warning will be you.

Top-level comments on this article: (7 total)Rev, a really great article. I am looking at Obama as the stage setter, I do not see him as the false Prophet because that is to be a religious figure, is it not? As for Antichrist well my belief he would come out of Europe. What is your take on his ancestry and bio that many Christians are alluding to? I also find Peace in Israel as the sign to watch. That is high on our new presidents agenda and he is sold on the Oslo accords. I would venture to say the "walls' that are dividing the East from West will come down and the giving back of Jerusalem and the Temple will be built as part of the deal. Now whomever makes the peace, that is guarantees Israels survival, to which I read Obama is going to offer that in a Nuclear Umbrella ] but interestingly he will offer it for peace. Good job,
Thanks Robert, The Bible does not expressly say that the false prophet will be a religious figure. It is most likey that both the antichrist and the false prophet are political/military type people who come up through normal channels. They we be inordinately revered like stars or icons. They will also be true believers in all they propose but will lead the world down a path to Armageddon.Perhaps Obama is not the FP but I have never been more inclined to think some one is more than him in the last three decades.I'd love to see that I am simply dead wrong about it but for now will keep my eyes open. Thanks,Rev M. Hi Rev Mike! Excellent article! I am not as learned as you or Robert on prophetic events but as of late my spirit has been convicted to pray for conversion for our country and world. In our short lifetime(s), we've seen more changes than one should expect and none good -- I cringe for the future only for our children yet am misunderstood and chastised by my own. You close by writing, "...Regardless of the details of prophetic events Christ is still the door by which you can change your eternal destiny and direction. This proclamation has seen its peak of public acceptance and is now waning in general acceptance but it is meant for only one individual at a time. It is my prayer at the beginning of 2009 that the person who heeds this warning will be you." Unfortunately, your topic isn't popular but I join you in this prayer -- if the message is brought one person at a time than it was worth it -- God bless you and hoping you have a blessed and Happy Christmas!
Thanks Judi,I am always encouraged by your faith. While the circle of dedicated believers does shrink in a bit or close circle one thing we can believe in is the message of Joel 2:28f. Even as the believers grow fewer they become far more intense. This is the work of the Holy Spirit and it convinces me of an old saying I once heard, "God and one make a majority."God bless you this Christmas seasonRev Michael Bresciani
Shalom in Yeshua,I agree with some of the things you’re saying here. I also think that America will have a downfall but I don’t think it’ll be as severe as some. I believe it has to go down in power because the Scripture shows that Israel will go to war and no one will be able to help her but G-d alone. That tells me that America will not be in a position to rescue her. America however will not be a part of the Anti-Christ’s Empire. It also is not the EU.Obama cannot be the False Messiah because he is not Jewish for one. No man would be recognized as the Messiah of Israel and not be Jewish. The Antichrist himself is often thought to be Jewish but that is also incorrect. He will be an Assyrian as the Scripture says and he will also be a backslidden Christian as well as a homosexual. Obama doesn’t fit any of those descriptions. The Anti Christ does NOT rule the whole world but only a small part of it (part of the middle east and part of the old roman empire). He’s not as powerful as once was thought because he can’t even take over Jordan (Edom Moab and Amman). Also as far as timing goes, there are many things that have to happen first. There will have to be a war with Israel and Syria (not Assyria) and then a time of Peace after that (Israel will have no walls). For Israel to have complete peace with its neighbors shows that it will be quite a long time from now. True, things can change in a day, but as it is going, my prediction is that it’s quite some time off and long after you and I are gone.Overall, I did like your article.Rabbi StanleySome things that happened in the 9/11 attack upon American soil were (1) enjoining us to the suffering of Israel (2) intervening before anti Israel policies were established by certain people in the Bush administration (3) removing a hedge of false security.Certainly it was a beginning for regrafting Israel back in.
Thanks for your comments Rabbi.I can only proclaim what I am told the fulfillment is up to God and no one else.As far as a False Messiah the bible does not mention such a person. He is called only the false prophet and he directly aids and assists the antichrist who is the false messiah. Also that the antichrist rules every nation tongue and tribe of the earth is also very clear in scripture Rev 13:7I don't argue, debate or speculate about anything that is already written in the scriptures. There is a strong warning about doing that in Rev 22:19 and I take it very seriously. Thus if the word says antichrist rules all nations and it does, there is little to discuss further on the subject. One of the responsibilities layed upon all who take scripture and prophecy to heart is the feeding and care of our hearers, their lives, destinies and their welfare may and often does depend on us. That means we cannot tell them our speculations, suspicions, arguments or surmisings. With so much at stake we can only reveal what is known and what has been additionally declared to us by the Father by his Holy Spirit. In the event we speculate out of our learning, or observations we must make it clear to our hearers that it is only speculative and not the Word. Today there is all too much speculation and some of it from people who have not committed themselves to take literally the word already given them in writ. For the most part I ignore the speculations from those who are not grounded in Gods word. For the readers sake I will appendage this reply with the most serious warning in all of the bible about the words of prophecy. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18,19These are words to live by and they are not up for debate. Thanks Rev MB
Yes some food for thought, sounds like 1973 Prophecy by David Wilkerson the Vision. it is a book that deals with end times.I FEEL that we must just Trust YESHUA OUR ADONAI even though we can,t yet see all the puzzel pieces put together...Faith for me as a Messianic Jew returning to Israel and maybe die there,,,is what I believe is my destiny and what YHVH...HAS SPOKEN WE CAN,T CHANGE BUT REJOICE FOR THE RETURN OF THE KING lv and shalom from Jerusalem Clareburt.
